A Guide to Backup XP to:
YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE IF YOU DON'T ALREADY OWN - AN EXTERNAL USB FLOPPY DRIVE!
I personally reccomend Acronis True Image, although it does cost money it is an excellent System Backup solution, and eliminates the need of A Floppy Drive!
Windows XP includes a Utility to make easy system Backups of all your files and information.
To open the Windows Backup utility Navigate to your Start Menu, select Programs, Select Accessories, System Tools, and Choose Backup.

You will be greeted with a Wizard Screen, Click Next, Select Backup FIles, and click Next again. Then Select "All Information on this Computer" and click Next. Choose your backup location i.e. your USB Drive, and name your backup something like "MikesBackup01-30-09" so its easy for you to organize your backups. Follow Through until its finished. Make sure there is a Blank Floppy disk in your attached external Floppy Drive. That's it!
